Cement based Manual Applicable Insulation Materials

Features:

Insulation occurs as a result of the cement and acrylic mixtures mixing together.

- Insulation property is not sufficient enough.
- It will not be sufficient on wood, Steel and glass.
- It is not resistant to UV and it does not have any strength.
- It is necessary to apply a topcoat.

Bitumen Based Insulation Materials

Features:

It is petrol residual material that has been used for a very long time. They are applied on the surface which is exposed to heat and some of the bitumen based materials are modified. Rubber - containing materials can also be used without heating. It is observed to melt, while gas tries to exit under the hot condition causing bulging and crack formation under cold temperatures. (Melting under sun, gas exit, the formation of cracks under cold conditions are the major disadvantages). Currently, it is not preferred because of low strength and its bad smell. It is flammable. It causes cracks in the coating because of gas exit.

Modified Bitumen Based Membranes

Features:

It is petrol residual material that has been used for a very long it is a dried Bitumen Sheet, It is applied with heat. It is not resistant to impacts, breaks down with the smallest of bumps and they are separated from their joints easily. It causes cracks in the coating because the gas makes wat for its exit. If water penetrates, it penetrates through the complete project which causes a lot of problems for the labor.

Epoxy

Features:

Although it is resistant to impacts, it is not flexible and not resistant to UV. If it is exposed to the sun, the deformation will be observed because of lack of elasticity.

PVC and EPDM Membranes

Features:

It is resistant to impact the point of joints are not so resistant to impact which makes it vulnerable due to impacts.

Polyurethane Based Manual Applicable Insulation Materials

Features

- PU based materials has a high resistance to UV and water.
- Flexibility is high but it is not resistant to impacts.
- Life expectancy is 2-5 years.
- It is not suitable to apply on pasteurized surface.

Hybrid Polyurea

Features:

While the second layer is being applied, adhesion will not be efficient and delimitation is observed. It is not resistant to UV because of this topcoat is necessary. Mechanical strength will be observed 7days after application.

Pure polyurea

Features:

It is the latest technology for insulation. Except for silicone, nylon, and greasy surfaces, material adheres to many external surfaces perfectly. Elasticity and physical resistance are high. Life expectancy is 25-50 years. It is the most durable product that is known. It is not affected by hot and cold conditions. Delimitation is not observed. The desired number of layers can be applied. The leakage risk is minimized because it sticks well where it is applied. It is available for both outdoor and indoor use.

Polyurea application is a hot application system which requires a special coating machine, therefore machine investment is required. If investing in the machine is not a problem. It would be preferred to use products which can be squeezed with a pressure gun (cold system) or applied without machine (pouring system) that has been developed by our R & D department.
